You can set up an Ad Hoc (spur of the moment) conference if there is space available on the Bridge. If you start an Ad Hoc conference and the Bridge requires the space for a scheduled conference you will be dropped.

1. Using your polycom call the Codian Bridge at 128.227.156.83

2. Hit the asterisks (*) key on your polycom remote twice.

3. Enter a conference number of 7 digits in this format; the first 4 numbers will be 7880 for a conference of up to 5 sites without content, 7881 for a conference of up to 10 sites without content, 7882 for up to 5 sites with content and 7883 for a conference of up to 10 sites with content. The last 3 numbers must be a unique number (that is a number not being used by any other conference).

4. Press the # key.

5. Do NOT enter a password.

6. You should get a message telling you that you are the first or only participant.

7. Contact the other participants and give them the meeting number to dial in. They will not be able to find the number on the bridge schedule because it is not a scheduled conference.

8. In an Ad Hoc conference the conference ends when the initiator disconnects.
