The UF/IFAS Publication “Keeping Bees in Florida,” reports “There are over 4,000 registered beekeepers in the state of Florida (as of June 2016). Nearly three quarters of these are considered “backyard” beekeepers (0–10 colonies), while the remaining quarter are “sideline commercial” or “commercial” beekeepers (11–200 and 200+ colonies, respectively). In total there are over 440,000 managed colonies in the state,..”

If you are one of the many beekeepers in Florida, or have an interest in becoming a beekeeper, make plans to attend the 6th annual
