National Invasive Species Awareness Week (NISAW) 2026
Each year near the end of February across the country communities are observing NISAW. Each year UF IFAS Extension provides some form of invasive species education to local communities during this week. This year we will be posting each day a video focusing on a different invasive species that is impacting the coastal area of the Florida panhandle.
We begin with a species that has been established in central and south Florida for many decades but is a relatively new arrival to the panhandle – the Cuban Treefrog.
