The Perennial Peanut Producers’ Association (PPPA) will host a production meeting, on Friday, December 10, 2021. The event will begin at 10:00 AM ET (9:00 CT) and will be hosted by the Madison County Extension Office (184 NW College Loop – Madison, FL 32340). The meeting will feature research updates from Ann Blount, UF/IFAS Forage Breeder, and Cheryl Mackowiak, UF/IFAS Forage Soil Specialist. Mark Mauldin, Washington County Extension Ag Agent, will provide a presentation on land preparation for planting and herbicide options for weed control in perennial peanut. Attendees will be able to receive one CEU for restricted pesticide applicators license renewal. The presentations will be followed by a PPPA Membership Meeting. A general Q&A round-table discussion will be held after lunch for all attendees to conclude the event.
