We had an awesome first adventure with the families of the Sons & Daughters! We traveled down into the Florida Everglades, where we boarded Airboats and took a tour through the wetlands of South Florida. The kids and families got to see plenty of wetland plants, birds, fish, and even a few alligators. Once we got back to dry land, our adventure continued with a presentation on different animals including scorpions and toads. Our very own Mrs. Paula even got to kiss a toad!

Tomorrow we will continue our adventure through Florida by going to the Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society to see and learn about different animals and their environments! As a reminder, please have youth and families wear their green shirt and some good comfortable shoes, along with a hat. We will be leaving a little later then this morning, so you can let the kids sleep in a bit. Reporting time to Oceana B is 8:00 PM and returning time to the convention center will be ~3:30 PM.
