Driving to AMPICFL22 – Parking Options

Parking in West Palm Beach will be expensive. If you are staying at the Hilton, they only offer valet parking for $20/day. If you are staying at the Marriott, they offer self-parking for $16/day.  The Convention Center Parking Garage offers another lower-cost option, but make sure you are clear on when it is open and when it is not.  Which option you choose will really depend on when, and how often you want to come and go.  When the parking garage is closed, you cannot access your vehicle.  Some participants will be staying at other hotels and will want to drive to the Palm Beach Convention Center and need to park daily.

In addition to what your hotel offers, there is another cost-effective option for you: park at the Convention Center Parking Garage (1099 S Rosemary Ave).

With 2600 available parking spaces, the Palm Beach County Convention Center offers paid, self-parking in our 9-story parking garage. It can be accessed off the south side of Okeechobee Boulevard and then a right turn onto S. Rosemary Avenue/Florida Avenue. The garage entrance is at the end of S. Rosemary Avenue/Florida Avenue. Part 1: The garage charges $10 max a day. The parking manager explained with this message: “We are setting the daily maximum rate to $10, the ‘daily’ part meaning 24 hours. After 24 hours, the rate starts adding again with a base of $10.”  It will make more sense using the example shown below.

Your Event Rates:

• Up to 30 minutes = No Charge
• Up to 3 hours = $5
• Up to 9 hours = $10
• Up to 12 hours = $10
• Up to 18 hours = $10
• Daily Maximum (24 hours) = $10
• Up to 27 hours = $15
• Up to 33 hours = $20
• Up to 36 hours = $20
• Up to 42 hours = $20
• Daily Maximum (48 hours) = $20
• The price continues hourly and daily for the duration we are there.

Part 2: This is a big deal. The gates shut at the parking garage EVERY night.  Gates will be open till about an hour after events in the Convention Center end, but then they close and will not reopen till morning.  Get a taxi or an Uber or walk if you park overnight, and then want to go somewhere after the garage closes.

The parking garage will be open during these hours:

Friday: 7am – 6pm

Saturday: 7am – 10pm

Sunday – Wednesday: 6am – 11:59pm

Thursday: 6am – 11:59pm

Friday: Parking garage only (5am – Noon)

The parking garage will close by NOON on Friday.  Move your vehicle before then.

Part 3: There is no parking garage attendant. You pay by credit card every time you leave the garage,

Part 4: The Palm Beach Convention Center entry and exit open to the back hallway to the convention center and the Hilton.  If you are staying at the Hilton, you can walk down the hallway to enter.  You probably should offload your luggage at the Hilton front door and drive around to the parking garage.
