Join Us for the AM/PIC – Opening Ceremonies!

The Florida Association of County Agricultural Agents (FACAA) invites you to join us in celebrating the official kick-off of the 2022 NACAA AM/PIC in West Palm Beach, at Sunday evening’s Opening Ceremonies!  This exciting evening will include a mix of NACAA tradition with Florida’s unique, diverse heritage – we’re going to do it big!

After a warm welcome to the first AM/PIC in person in quite a while by our NACAA President Bill Burdine, we’ll begin the festivities with a special presentation of the colors by the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps national winning color guard team, a performance of the “National Anthem” and “God Bless America” by Christian music artist Mercedes Nodarse, and NACAA’s traditional flag ceremony that honors each great state and territory of our country!

Following those audience favorites, we’ll bring University of Florida Senior Vice President Dr. Scott Angle on stage to welcome you to the Sunshine State, which is sure to get you fired up about one of the most diverse agricultural states in the country.  Dr. Andre Johnson, Dean of UF Extension will then take the stage to brag on his state and faculty and give you a glimpse of what UF Extension offers to the residents of our great state.  (Go Gators!)

Capping off the evening is our featured entertainment, the acclaimed local Latin crossover group Los Sobrinos del Juez.  Los Sobrinos del Juez is a highly polished ensemble of nine committed musicians who love and believe in the style of music they play so well. Created and led by international music producer, vocalist, and arranger, Carlos Oliva, who is credited by Time Magazine as the initiator of the iconic Latin crossover “Miami Sound,” their unforgettable music reflects Florida’s inter-cultural community by blending Cuban music with salsa, afro beats, samba, jazz, and rock! Performing in both Spanish and English, their distinct sound is authentically tropical, danceable, and so much fun – no matter what language you speak!
