Life members and spouses arrived early Tuesday morning to seek the big catch aboard the Sea Mist III out of Boynton Beach. Thirty-three people boarded the vessel and headed out Boynton Inlet to the Atlantic ocean.

Fishing in about 90 feet of water, a variety of fish were caught. Mangrove snapper, mutton snapper, grouper, and even an endangered, beautifully colored queen trigger fish. We saw schools of flying fish, gliding over the waves with their large pectoral fins extended perpendicular to their body. A loggerhead turtle swam by the boat. A few fish got away, giving us a reason to go back out and try again another day.

After the four-hour fishing trip, those who caught fish were able to eat them fresh after they were cooked at the Two Georges restaurant. Libby said, “Those were the best fish tacos I ever had”.  This was a new and fun experience for many of the anglers.
