The University of Florida, IFAS Range Cattle Research and Education Center is conducting a survey to more thoroughly understand coyote damage to livestock. UF/IFAS is cooperating with the USDA National Wildlife Research Center to measure losses of livestock presumed to have been a direct consequence of coyote predation, and to assist in identifying the number and extent of occurrence across Florida.
Researchers are asking farmers and ranchers to complete a survey to help them prepare reliable statistics on coyote predation and behavioral observations of coyote attacks. Responses to the survey are voluntary and you can opt out of any questions you do not wish to answer. All individual reports are kept confidential and no personal information is requested other than the county where your property is located. Please consider spending the time (about 15-20min.) to fill out the survey and remember some information is better than none, and questions can be skipped if too difficult.
