This week’s featured videos were produced by Massey Ferguson as part of their Cut Above Series with recommendations for improving forage quality at harvest. In episodes 3.1 and 3.2, Jennifer Tucker, UGA Beef & Forage Specialist and Taylor Hendricks, UGA PhD student discuss high moisture baleage as an alternative to harvesting dry hay. There are some real advantages over traditional hay production, but also some important steps to take to optimize quality for this type of forage harvest system.
