The subject of this video is a no-till cool-season livestock & wildlife forage demonstration, in Gulf County. There are a number of ag extension agents across the state that have participated with state specialists and landowners to implement this past season’s demonstrations. The finale of this demonstration trial in Gulf County would have been a field day in April. However, with the threat of COVID-19, the next best alternative was a virtual experience. Please contact your local county extension office for details.
You may also want to use the following link the link to watch a recent virtual cool-season forage tour in Marianna: Virtual Cool-Season Forage Tour. This video was created at the UF/IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center, with Forage Breeder, Dr. Ann Blount, and Jackson County Extension Director, Doug Mayo. Their video compares how cool-season forages perform on a tilled-seed-bed, with more intensive management.
