This week’s featured video was produced by the Panhandle Ag Extension Team to provide a summary of the services county agents offer to agricultural producers in Florida. University of Florida/IFAS has County Extension Agents in all 67 of Florida’s counties that can help farmers and ranchers make more informed decisions to better manage their operations. Just like an extension cord connects power to a large work area, County Agents connect the power of science-based knowledge and expertise of scientists at Land Grant, public universities with farmers and ranchers in the communities where they serve. They do this through: individual consultations, diagnostic services, educational training, experiment station and on-farm research trials, pesticide applicator safety training, and through digital media communication. Watch the following video for more details, and contact your local extension office to find out about the specific services and training opportunities available in your home county.
