Friday Feature: How do you turn corn into Cheetos?

This week’s featured video is not crop production related but highlights one of the popular and unique products made from field corn.  How do they make Cheetos Puffs or Crunchy Cheetos?  These snacks are primarily made from corn meal and flavored seasonings.  A recent video, produced by Oklahoma State for their PBS show SUNUP TV, shares how corn products are made into tasty, flavored snacks.

Cheetos Puffs ingredient list:  Enriched Corn Meal, Vegetable Oil [Corn Oil], Cheese Seasoning, Maltodextrin [Made from Corn], Natural and Artificial Flavors, Salt, Whey Protein Concentrate, Monosodium Glutamate, Lactic Acid, Citric Acid, Artificial Color, and Salt.
