Friday Feature: Florida Cracker Cattle – A Spanish Legacy

This week’s featured video was produced by the Florida Department of Agriculture for the Florida Museum to be presented at the Florida Cattle Ranching: Five Centuries of Tradition exhibit that travel around the state back in 2011.  Since we are celebrating the 500th year of cattle in Florida in 2021, I thought it was fitting to share this video that documents the importance of the Spanish cattle to the history of Florida Agriculture.  Some of the footage for this video was shot in Liberty County.
