Alabama Extension recently published a five-part video series that discusses common forestry terms and measurements. Understanding common terms can help landowners make management decisions based on their particular goals.  The video of the series I chose to highlight was the one on forest products.  While for many timber producers this is not new information, I thought it was worth sharing because it has nice visual comparison of the different log sizes that are used for different final products.  This video would be good one to share on your personal social media accounts or via email to help your friends, neighbors, and family members have a better understanding of the timber industry.

To share this video, use the “Share arrow” in the top right corner of the video viewer below and then select Facebook or Twitter, or use the three dots which will open the video in YouTube.  In YouTube, you can use the share arrow that is located under the video on the far right, and with this option you can even email the video to people in your contact list.
