Most Floridians dread the coming of summer vacation due to all of the added traffic on local roads as millions of tourists travel through Florida to beaches and other tourist attractions. In Madrid, Spain, sheep and goats pour through city streets on their way to seasonal pastures. To the city dwellers it is more like a sheep parade, but for the sheep herders this is a major event as they drive their sheep along an ancient route between warm-season and cool-season pastures in Spain. What once was all country roads now are city streets. Since 1994, shepherds have been given clearance to pass right through Madrid and stop traffic for the day.
