This week’s featured video was published by Cattlemen to Cattlemen to highlight the world’s largest cattle feeding operation, Five Rivers Feedyards. Five Rivers puts a great deal of emphasis on ensuring that animals are healthy and well cared for. Every employee is Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certified to ensure that the beef produced from their cattle is safe for consumers because they are managed according to this national standard of excellence. Cattle producers in the Southeast are very familiar with cow-calf operations, but may have never toured a large feedyard. This video offers a short tour and explanation of how this final phase of the cattle industry is managed.
