This week’s featured video was published by the Florida Department of Agriculture to highlight one of the two Florida Ag Hall of Fame inductees. Don Quincey is a fifth generation Florida cattle rancher from Chiefland, Florida. His father owned Chiefland Farm Supply and later turned the business over to Don until it was sold in 2003. Through Quincey Cattle Company, Don brought cattle feeding back to Florida by utilizing commodities and byproducts that are produced locally. He played a key role in founding the Florida Cattle Ranchers, which is a cooperative program to supply Fresh from Florida beef to consumers. He also has been actively involved in leadership positions with the Florida Cattlemen’s Association. Watch the video to learn about the impact Don Quincey had on Florida Agriculture.
