Friday Feature: SW Georgia Sweet Corn Harvest

This week’s featured video was published by the Farm Monitor, Georgia Farm Bureau’s TV show shared weekly on various stations in the state.  This video highlights sweet corn harvest at Rentz Family Farms, near Bainbridge, Georgia.  According to Kevin Rentz, sweet corn harvest is going well this year. Farmers in Southwest Georgia target the Memorial Day, Father’s Day, and July 4th holiday markets for peak sweet corn consumption.  Watch this video to see how sweet corn is hand-harvested and sorted, and to hear about the sweet corn crop this year.
