This week’s featured video was published by the University of Florida’s Animal Science Department to share time-lapse video of early development of a bovine embryo. Researchers at the University of Florida are studying embryo development to learn ways to reduce embryonic death, to improve embryo transfer techniques, and to develop reproductive technologies to improve Florida beef and dairy herds. As you will see in this video, the embryo goes through dramatic changes over the first week of development. This is a key time because this occurs prior to implantation on the uterus of the cow. Thanks to Angela Gonella, UF/IFAS Cattle Reproduction Specialist, for sending in this weeks video to share.
