Every October, the Florida Forestry Association (the other FFA) celebrates Florida Forests Week as a time to promote the timber industry in the state!  This year, Florida Forest Week was October 22-28.  In Jackson County, a tour was organized by John Alter, Malone, and other FFA leadership to educate legislative aides about the importance of the forest industry in the Panhandle, and how the Federal Block Grant Funds have been used for recovery following Hurricane Michael.  Courtney Fegly, WMBB News 13 Panama City, published this week’s featured video to share the highlights from the forest industry tour held on October 24, 2023.
