On January 30th, Santa Rosa County Extension will be hosting its annual Row Crop Production meeting. Due to scheduled construction at the Jay Office location, the event will be held at the UF/IFAS West Florida Research and Education Center (WFREC), 4253 Experiment Drive Jay, FL 32565. Registration begins at 7:30 AM CST and the meeting starts at 8 AM CST, and concludes with an industry sponsored lunch.
Production topics to be discussed include insect ID and control, crop fertility, market outlook, weed & disease management, as well as updates/reminders for required pesticide related permits and training that applicators may need to renew prior to the cropping season. Speakers will consist from extension specialists from UF, UGA, and AU. Attendees will be able to earn 3 Florida pesticide applicator’s license CEUs, 1 Core and 2 category (Private, Row Crop, or Aerial).
