Friday Feature: John Deere Loader Dynamic Weighing System

This week’s featured video was published by John Deere to highlight new innovation for tractors with loader attachments.  They have developed the technology to weigh round bales of hay, feed, or other products as you load the hay spear or bucket.  According to John Deere, “With the push of a button, the Dynamic Weighing System records the weight of hay bales, feed mixes, and more. You can even gauge the weight of a trailer full of material or a whole field.”  This is a nice innovation for beef and dairy producers who can now measure hay bale weights or scoops of feed as they drive the tractor.  The programming can even handle a mixed ration as you load individual feed commodities from a bulk barn.  Check out the video to see this new farming technology in action.
