This week’s featured video was published by SunUp TV, which is Oklahoma’s weekly agriculture show shared through Public Television. This video was the portion of their broadcast called, Cow-Calf Corner. In the video, Dr. Mark Johnson, Oklahoma State Extension Beef Cattle Breeding Specialist, discusses the age old question, “What is a good bull worth?” The most consistent answer you hear back is a good bull is worth the value of five calves sold. But how and when you sell your calves does change their value. Watch the video to hear Dr. Johnson discuss two approaches to estimating the value of a good bull in today’s market.
