This week’s featured video was produced by the Florida Department of Agriculture to be shared at the award ceremony for Dr. Sandra TenBroeck’s , 2023 Woman of the Year in Agriculture recognition, at the Florida State Fair.  Dr. TenBroeck has been a faculty member of the University of Florida’s Animal Science Department since 1985.  She was originally hired to worked with 4-H and FFA Youth Programs around the state for the animal science education programs for these two organizations, and then helped develop the Junior Florida Cattlemen Program.  In 2001, she transitioned to a position as the Horse Extension Specialist.  Her career has impacted the lives of students, horse producers, and industry professionals throughout her distinguished 39 year career in the UF Animal Science Department.  Watch the video to hear Dr. TenBroeck’s story.
