Growers across the Florida Panhandle and Southern Georgia are invited to attend the 2024 Emerging Crop Production Systems Forum, at the UF/IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center, located at 155 Research Road, Quincy, Florida. This two-day field day is designed to educate growers about BMPs for sustainable and organic emerging crop production systems. The focus crops are fruits, vegetables, medicinal, and specialty crops. The first day (May 16th) will be full of educational seminars, and the second (May 17th) will be for farm visits. Topics will include Soil Testing 101, High Tunnel Crop Production, Cover Crops in Organic Vegetable Systems, Diverse Fruit Tree Systems, and more. The tours include the UF/IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center and Full Earth Farms. The program consists of a farmer panel discussion, where attendees can ask farmers questions about their production systems. A Tradeshow will be included to educate growers about resources that are offered from agricultural organizations. Lunch is included on both days.
