Silvopasture is a unique agroforestry system combining principles of forestry, forage production, and livestock grazing to produce wood products, superior forage, and healthy livestock simultaneously. Owens is a nationally recognized silvopasture producer and has graciously offered to open his property for a tour of his outstanding operations. Prior to the field tour we will have an outstanding series of presentations and a forum discussion lead by County Agents: Ian Stone (Forestry Walton), Mark Mauldin (Washington) Jenifer Bearden (Okaloosa) and Nick Simmons (Escambia).
