Guilherme Trimer Morata has been appointed as the new UF/IFAS Extension County Agriculture Agent for Santa Rosa County. Originating from São Carlos, Brazil, Guilherme  or “G” as many folks call him, is an agronomist with a Master’s Degree in Precision Agriculture from Auburn University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomic Engineering from São Paulo State University (Brazil). With over a decade of experience in the field of agronomy and precision agriculture, he is committed to aiding farmers in optimizing their operations and boosting profitability.

Professional Background

Guilherme has accumulated significant experience in Brazil’s private sector, working with vegetables, citrus, and soybeans as a researcher and in market development for new products. He also spent nearly four years with Alabama Extension working with cotton, peanut, and grain farmers before joining the University of Florida. Guilherme has built strong connections with farmers, crop consultants, and industry stakeholders, providing unbiased, research-based information to support daily farm management decisions. His expertise in precision agriculture, including the use of drones, soil sensors, satellite imagery, and on-farm trials, make him a valuable asset to Santa Rosa County farmers.
