UF/IFAS Extension Gadsden County is hosting a regional Small Ruminant Grazing Management Field Day, on July 26th, at the UF/IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center (NFREC), in Quincy, Florida, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time.
This event will be targeted towards small ruminant grazing management, but the topics will be relevant to grazing management systems for all livestock. The field day will feature tours of perennial forage plots to learn about current recommended varieties, as well as seminars on rotational grazing management, soil health for perennial forages, and annual forages to extend and enhance small ruminant grazing. The cost for the field day is $20 and includes lunch at the end of the program.
For more information or questions about the field day, contact Robbie Jones, Gadsden County Extension Director, at r.jones1@ufl.edu.
