Friday Feature: Pineapple Farming and Processing

This week’s featured video was published by Farm World of Australia to highlight the farm production, harvest, and processing of a very unique tropical fruit, pineapples.  Pineapples are a tropical fruit that is primarily grown in other countries around the world, but there were over 14 thousand acres produced in the U.S. in 2022, with the majority of that acreage in Hawaii.  Pineapple plants require 2-3 years to produce high quality fruit.  Watch the video to see how this unique crop is farmed, harvested, and processed into the sweet delicious food and juice products that we enjoy.
