Jerry Clower was a well known southern comedian who actually was a county agent in the early 1950s in Mississippi after college graduation. In this video, Jerry shares a classic tale at the Grand Old Opry about his Uncle Versie, who was a farmer who had an accident with a cattle truck, but told the State Trooper he was OK at the scene of the accident, despite having a broken leg. Later, however, Uncle Vercie filed a claim with the trucking company’s insurance. Watch the video to hear how Jerry Clower got to the truth of the story, so his uncle could have his medical bills paid by the insurance company.
