This week’s featured video is a special holiday treat from the University of Florida. You may have seen Century Tower on the main campus (built in 1953 to commemorate 100 years of UF), or at least seen pictures of the iconic landmark of the University of Florida Campus. However, did you know that Century Tower has a working carillon? (According to the Miriam Webster Dictionary: a carillon is “a set of fixed chromatically tuned bells sounded by hammers controlled from a keyboard.”) Watch this video to enjoy “Carol of the Bells,” composed by Mykola Leontovych, as performed by UF Engineering student Anna Huber, on the Century Tower Carillon.
