UF/IFAS Extension, Washington County will host the annual Panhandle Corn & Soybean Update on Friday, February 7th. Doors open at 9:00 AM (Central) with the meeting starting promptly at 9:30 AM and concluding with a sponsored lunch. The meeting will be held at the Washington County Agricultural Center located at 1424 Jackson Ave. Chipley, Florida.
This production meeting will address corn and soybean management. Attendees will hear research updates from Extension specialists with the University of Florida and Auburn University, as well as industry representatives. Topics to be addressed include insect, disease, and weed management, variety trial results, and UF’s corn Stakeholder Engagement Program.
This meeting is approved for 2 Florida CEUs (2 Private Applicator, 2 Ag Row Crop, or 2 Demo & Research) as well as Georgia pesticide applicator CEUs and Certified Crop Advisor CEUs.
While there is no cost for the meeting, pre-registration is required for the meal. Please call the Washington County Extension Office at 850-638-6180 prior to January 30th to register.
