The Jackson County Extension Office (2741 Penn Ave., Marianna, FL) will host the annual Panhandle Row Crop Short Course on Thursday, March 6th. Registration and trade show begin at 7:15 AM (Central Time) with the meeting starting promptly at 7:45 AM. The event concludes with a sponsored lunch at 12:00 PM. This production meeting will address early season management of cotton and peanut.
Attendees will hear research updates from Extension specialists with the University of Florida and Auburn University, as well as industry representatives. Topics to be addressed include peanut and cotton variety performance, market updates, deer herbivory in crops, pesticide updates, and crop weed management.
