This week’s featured video was published by Livestock Insights to share the history of Angus Cattle that originally came from Scotland but are now part of cattle herds all over the world. When the first four Angus bulls were brought to America, other ranchers laughed at them, because they had no horns. Over time, however, the crossbred Angus calves raised by longhorn cows gained the respect of U.S. ranchers because of their performance on the ranch and the improved meat quality of their beef. Watch the video to hear the story of the Angus breed’s rise to popularity all over the world.
