This week’s featured video was a news story produced by Emmeline Ivy for WJHG News Channel 7, in Panama City.  Larry Ford, Marianna, and his grandson Daniel Stoutamire share what peanut farming means for their family.  Ivy captured the story during peanut harvest while the grandfather and grandson prepared equipment to pick recently dug peanuts near Greenwood. 40,000 acres of peanuts were planted in Jackson County in 2025, which was considerably more than have been planted there in recent history.  Larry shares some of the history of farming peanuts for his family.  Use the link provided below to view the video and to hear Larry and Daniel share their love of peanut farming.
