UF/IFAS Extension, Washington County will host the annual Panhandle Corn & Soybean Update on Friday, February 6th. Doors open at 9:00 AM (Central) with the meeting starting promptly at 9:30 AM and concluding with a sponsored lunch. The meeting will be held at the Washington County Agricultural Center located at 1424 Jackson Ave. Chipley, Florida.

This production meeting will address corn and soybean management. Attendees will hear research updates from Extension specialists with the University of Florida and Auburn University, as well as industry representatives. Topics to be addressed include crop market conditions and outlook, soil fertility management, weed management, planter maintenance and precision ag solutions to help improve efficiency, variety trial results, and seed company variety updates.

This meeting is approved for 3 Florida pesticide applicator CEUs; 1 CORE and 2 Category CEUs (Aerial, Ag Row Crop, Demo & Research, or Private Applicator).

While there is no cost for the meeting, pre-registration is required for the meal. Please call the Washington County Extension Office at 850-638-6180 prior to January 30th to register.
