This week’s featured video was published on YouTube by 16mm Educational Films. This 16-minute video shares the history of the Corn Belt in the Midwestern US. In the documentary they also talk about how corn was used in the 1960s for feeding livestock and other uses. It is fun to look back 60 years ago at what was considered modern farming equipment, and also at how specializing in corn farming allowed for a wide range of livestock production specialization. Sit back and remember the old days when your ag teacher would break out the 16mm projector to show these short films in school. Enjoy this interesting educational short film from the 1960s.
