If you have been watching the fourth season of the TV Show Yellowstone, you were introduced to the famous 142k acre 6666 Ranch, in West Texas. The reason this ranch was featured was because it was purchased last year by Taylor Sheridan, co-creator of Yellowstone. Plans are in place to create a spin-off show set on the four sixes ranch. This week’s featured video was produced by Charles Middleton and Son, who specialize in farm and ranch sales, to share the history of the Four Sixes Ranch, founded by Captain Samuel “Burk” Burnett in 1870. While it is sad that the ranch is no longer owned by the Burnett family, it is interesting to hear the story of a cattle ranching operation that spanned 150 years from Texas to Kansas cattle drives to a modern day ranch operation.
