Are you thinking about raising bees on your property?

Do you want to learn more about beekeeping?

Please join us for the 2nd annual Beginner Beekeeping Workshop Series. The four-session workshop will provide educational training with live demonstrations (weather permitting) to guide people who are interested in starting a small-scale beekeeping operation and more. The first class will be held on Saturday, January 13th, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM EST, at the Jefferson County Extension Office, located at 2729 W Washington Hwy., Monticello, Florida 32344.

Session 1: January 13 – Introduction to Beekeeping

Session 2: January 20 – Equipment Overview

Session 3: February 3 – Bee Biology & Hive Management

Session 4: February 10 –  Review & Live Demonstration (Weather dependent)

The cost is $10 a session, or $30 for the whole series. Space is limited. Refreshments will be provided.  It is preferred for participants to attend all four sessions.
