Friday Feature: Ryan Jenkins Wins Peanut Efficiency Award

This week’s featured video was published by the Georgia Peanut Commission to highlight the four farms that were recognized with Farm Progress’ Regional Peanut Efficiency Awards .  Ryan Jenkins, Jay, Florida, was selected from the Lower Southeast Region.  Not only are Ryan and his family excellent peanut producers, they also excel at sharing their farm’s story and that of the entire industry with the general public as evidenced by the included excerpt from a fun video he shared on social media.  The 2023 Peanut Efficiency Award ceremony took place at the Southern Peanut Growers Conference on Saturday, July 29, 2023, but the video was just uploaded to YouTube this past week.  Farm Progress’ 2023 Peanut Efficiency Award winners were: Upper Southeast – Colt & Brandon Woody, Aiken, South Carolina, Lower Southeast – Ryan Jenkins, Jay, Florida, Delta – Deane Family, Sikeston Missouri, and  Southwest – John Reddecop, Seminole, Texas.  Watch the video to find out more about Ryan and the other excellent farmers that were highlighted.
