The Panhandle of Florida is home to considerable acreage of inland freshwater ponds that are used for recreation, irrigation, and other purposes. UF/IFAS Extension Gadsden County will host a Pond Management Field Day on Tuesday, October 22nd. This event will be a packed day of learning about aquatic ecosystems, fish management, algae management, and pond weed management in freshwater ponds. These aquatic ecosystems require routine maintenance and upkeep. This field day is designed to help novice or experience pond owners better manage their ponds to maximize the potential for their pond needs.
The event will be held at the North Florida Research and Education in Quincy, Florida. The cost for the day is $15 and covers instruction materials and lunch. To reserve your seats and lunches, use the following registration link:
