This week’s featured video was published by NCBA’s Cattlemen to Cattleman to share the highlights of a pilot project in Kansas that includes Vence virtual fencing. USDA’s Natural Resources and Conservation Service (NRCS) has partnered with Mushrush Ranches, Strong City, KS for a special project using virtual fencing to manage native prairie range in central Kansas. While the management there is very different from the Southeast, the technology could be useful in the Southeast as well. Imagine only having to maintain perimeter fences and central lanes to working facilities, while also having a system that could be customized to control where cattle graze each week. Watch the video to see the project in Kansas to see how Mushrush Ranches is using this new technology.
