Energy Intiative graphicInvest in Efficiency with our Community & Economic Development Team — Business & Energy Programs

USDA Rural Development will be hosting two informational workshops in November to explain the Agency’s programs available under its Northwest Florida Regional Energy Initiative. The Initiative is being designed to provide technical and financial assistance to small businesses and agricultural producers.

Our funding team members will present business and energy programs that will provide new opportunities for future investments. This opportunity to learn from our state and regional experts will benefit anyone connected to business, community or economic development. Please make plans to attend our workshop and put our partners to work for you. This is a sponsored program with no registration fee.

The Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) provides loan guarantees and grants to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to purchase and install renewable energy systems and make energy-efficiency improvements.

  • Renewable energy systems include those that generate energy from wind, solar, biomass, or that produce hydrogen from biomass or water using renewable energy.
  • Energy-efficiency projects typically involve installing or upgrading equipment to significantly reduce energy use.

We are inviting you to attend a workshop that will provide valuable information on the cost share and loan programs available to assist you and your business. The workshops will be held:
