NBGC Model Farm Field Day will Showcase Innovative Row Crop Practices – September 12

The National Black Growers Council (NBGC) invites farmers, agricultural professionals, and community members to join us for an exciting Model Farm Field Day in Jackson County, Florida.

This year’s event will highlight cutting-edge techniques and equipment designed to improve efficiency, sustainability, and profitability for row crop producers.

Attendees will see firsthand demonstrations and discussions on:

• FloRun 52N Peanuts – 100% No-Till Planting –  Learn about the benefits of no-till peanut production and how this approach can improve soil health, reduce erosion, and lower input costs.

• Broadcasting Cover Crops Before Peanut Harvest – See the process of spreading cover crop seed before digging peanuts, helping to maximize time and maintain soil cover for the next season.

• Drone Cotton Defoliation vs. Ground Application – Compare the effectiveness and efficiency of cotton defoliation by drone versus traditional ground equipment.
