The American Forage and Grassland Council (AFGC) hosts an annual conference bringing together industry, education/extension, and producers to share insights, research, best practices, and more. The 2026 AFGC annual conference will be held in Asheville, NC January 12-15. The theme for this year’s conference is Invigorating Grasslands: Where Art Meets Science. The conference will include a keynote address, several in-depth works shops on a variety of forage related topics, a plethora of research poster presentations, academic contests, networking opportunities, and farm tours. Conference Agenda
The standard, non-member registration fee for the conference is $375. AFGC is excited to announce that the AFGC 2026 Annual Conference has been approved for a Rancher’s Resilience Grant administered by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA). The Rancher’s Resilience Grant program is designed to help facilitate cattle producer attendance to impactful educational events. The approved amount for the AFGC Conference is $740 (enough to cover registration and hotel). The deadline to apply is December 21, 2025.
