Interstate Movement of Cattle
The National Institute of Animal Agriculture (NIAA) and the United States Animal Health Association (USAHA) have partnered together to create a website, InterstateLivestock.com, which provides current rules and regulations for anyone shipping cattle across state lines.
It is a one-stop resource for finding requirements to move cattle across state lines! The site is in its first phase featuring cattle movement regulations for all 50 states, and designed to provide quick results. In the future, horse interstate transportation rules will also be available. This is a free service provided so that anyone involved in cattle movement can easily prepare to meet the necessary requirements. No more reading through regulations or waiting until normal business hours to call the state in questions – the information is available 24/7 at your fingertips.
