Join us for the 2024 Corn Silage and Forage Field Day! Each year, the field day brings together over 200 people including dairy producers, beef producers, forage growers, allied forage industries and extension faculty to explore the new materials and technologies available for corn and sorghum production.
The field day includes educational talks on silage production, a trade show connecting producers and industry partners, and tours of the hybrid trials. The Silage Hybrid Trial is a partnership with multiple seed companies to evaluate productivity and nutritive value of forage crops within Florida and Georgia. Since 2008, the Silage Hybrid Trial has tested over 600 hybrids of corn and sorghum, partnering with more than 50 companies and seed brands.
